Siemens Announces Contest to Win a Free MRI
Community Hospitals Encouraged to Submit Video Entries

Omaha, Neb. (October 9, 2007) – One hospital in America will win a free MRI as part of a national contest sponsored by Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. (Siemens). The competition is open to any community hospital, defined as an acute care hospital, with 180 or fewer staffed, licensed beds that do not offer MR services through fixed installations.

To enter, eligible hospitals should make a video describing how owning and operating a MRI will benefit the health and wellbeing of their patients. The winning hospital will receive the new 1.5T MRI from Siemens, to be unveiled on October 17, 2007.

Videos must be submitted by November 30, 2007. Each entry will be available for viewing by the public starting October 22, 2007. Visitors to the contest’s Web site will have the opportunity to vote for the video that best describes the benefit an MR would bring to the entrant’s community. Beginning January 1, 2008, the votes for each video entry will be tallied and the hospital entrant with the most votes will be so notified on or before January 12, 2008.
