Cassling to Support American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Event
Sponsorship Helps Encourage Employees and Families to Participate in the
Fight Against Cancer
Omaha, Neb. (June 6, 2007) – Cassling will participate in the American Cancer Society’s 2007 Relay for Life event in Omaha. As a corporate sponsor, Cassling has encouraged its employees and families to join in the fight against cancer.
The event begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, and concludes at 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 10. Teams will camp out at Millard West High School, located at 5710 S 176th Avenue. Each team will take turns walking around the track throughout the evening, trying to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
“As a health-care company, we are focused on promoting health in the communities we serve,” said Mike Cassling, president and CEO. “Supporting this year’s Relay for Life event not only helps us achieve that goal, but also helps raise money for research and programs that will help fight a disease affecting millions of Americans.”
Food and entertainment will help captivate teams throughout the night. In addition, activities have been planned in conjunction with the relay to help collect donations and support the cause.
“The Relay for Life event is a fun-filled way to get people involved, while supporting a good cause,” said Lindsay Cosimano, APR, vice president of marketing. “The event also helps support our wellness program by encouraging people to participate in wellness-related activities.”
Captain Cassling’s Wellness Program is revolved around a fictional character named ‘Captain Cassling’ and entices employees to participate in wellness-related activities. Employees and their families benefit from a number of programs including an annual wellness stipend,
