Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a buzzword that is used to describe just about any new tech innovation in todays’ society. But what really is AI, and how does it have a role in medical imaging? In this presentation, we’ll explore what healthcare experts really mean when they talk about ‘AI’ and examine the many instances in which the promise of artificial intelligence is already a reality in practices around the country. Finally, we’ll discuss some of the most exciting developments in the field and how these innovations could change healthcare in the future.

Matthew Fuld, Ph.D.

Dr. Fuld has a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Iowa with expertise in medical imaging and lung physiology. He has been working for Siemens Healthineers for seven years in various roles, including five years in CT research and development, and recently served as the North American CT Product Manager covering multiple topics, including dual source, cardiac, pediatric, spectral imaging and artificial intelligence.
