This lecture on imaging a diverse population will focus on trauma and geriatric imaging. The presentation will emphasize how we, as radiologic technologists, can tailor our approach to successfully obtain high-quality diagnostic images while appreciating our diverse culture in the ED. Understanding the aging process and the effects of aging will be discussed, and we will also explore the different types of trauma patients presented in diagnostic imaging and review methods for easy execution of imaging techniques.
