Rick Koch
Executive Director, Emerging Technologies; Bellevue University
Rick is an experienced learning and technology leader with over 25 years of dedication to creating impactful learning experiences for managers and leaders across the military, corporate, and higher education sectors.
At Bellevue University, Rick was instrumental in shaping the institution’s trademarked online learning model, helping establish and grow its online programs into a national presence. He later joined Gallup, where he served as lead designer for its flagship management and leadership development programs, influencing the success of more than 5,000 managers worldwide.
Rick returned to Bellevue University in 2018 as the Dean of Design and Development, leading a team of over 40 professionals responsible for course design and innovation. In his current role as Executive Director of Emerging Technologies, he develops strategies to integrate leading-edge tools—such as virtual and augmented reality, generative AI, immersive simulations, and smart technology (i.e., Internet of Things)—into powerful learning environments. His mission is to create transformative learning experiences that prepare students and professionals for the future of work.
Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Management from Bellevue University and has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) since 2005.
