We are thrilled to recognize two of our colleagues whose dedication, integrity and leadership exemplify the very best of Cassling and CQuence: Tammy Michaels and Courtney Glover.
Tammy Michaels: 2026 Recipient of the Bob Cassling Service Excellence Award
Tammy, Sales Contract Manager, received the annual Bob Cassling Service Excellence Award at Cassling’s State of the Union on February 25. The award, established in 2015 in honor of Cassling’s late founder, Bob Cassling, recognizes employees who consistently go above and beyond in delivering exceptional service.
"When you think of service excellence, you think of Tammy,” said Carol Armitage, VP of Operations. “She’s our biggest cheerleader whose unwavering support, positivity and excellence have been felt across every committee and team she’s served, perfectly embodying Bob’s legacy and the cultural beliefs that make our culture so special."
For Tammy, world-class service is about leaving every person feeling heard, valued and genuinely helped.
“It’s asking yourself ‘how can I make someone's world a little better today?’” said Tammy.
After over 30 years at Cassling, Tammy is motivated by the people she works with and the ever-evolving challenges the company presents.
“They show up every day wanting to do their best, and that energy is contagious,” said Tammy. “Working with great people and for a great company makes it easy to stay motivated.”
For everyone else in the organization, Tammy is one of those great people. Beyond providing unparalleled service to our internal teams and colleagues at Siemens Healthineers, Tammy is dedicated to giving back to the community, as exemplified by her role as the CQ Cares committee chair for decades. CQ Cares, is Cassling’s corporate and employee-led philanthropy program which enables employees to give back to a variety of charitable causes throughout the year.
“Tammy’s leadership on the CQ Cares team is without a doubt why the committee continues to flourish,” said Adrian Phillipps, Senior Sales Contract Coordinator. “She truly wants to make a difference and is passionate about making sure we touch as many organizations in the community as possible. Her genuine care is inspiring and motivating to those around her. It’s part of the reason I am involved in the committee.”
And this all up, and it’s a no-brainer that Tammy was awarded the Bob Cassling Award, and Tammy says it’s hard to put into words what the honor means to her.
“Having had the opportunity to work firsthand with Bob Cassling, I saw how he treated every person, whether a customer or a colleague, as if they were his top priority, and he did it with effortless sincerity,” said Tammy. “To have my name associated with that legacy is something I don't take lightly. I've always believed that exceptional service isn't a job function; it's a reflection of who you are. Being recognized for living that out is deeply humbling, especially knowing how many incredible people in this company embody that same spirit every day.”
Courtney Glover, a Cassling Key Account Executive and fellow 2026 award winner, sees that quality reflected in Tammy.
“Every team has that one person who seems to know how to get things done,” said Courtney. “For us, that’s Tammy. She has been our trusted guide in navigating processes and finding solutions. Her willingness to share her knowledge and help others succeed has made a lasting impact on all of us."
Courtney Glover: 2026 Recipient of the Ken Vetter Integrity & Strategy Award
Courtney Glover was this year’s recipient of the Ken Vetter Integrity & Strategy Award, established to honor sales employees who have made a lasting impact on the organization through their deeds and strength of character.
The Ken Vetter Award has only been presented to three individuals since its inception in 2007, with Courtney’s father, Ken Sullivan, receiving the inaugural honor. Kathy Osborne, a long-time Cassling AE and the award’s most recent recipient, received the honor in 2022. Kathy understands the significance of the award, which is named after her own father.
“Our dads played a big role in the company’s early years, and it has truly been inspiring to watch Courtney grow up in this industry,” said Kathy. “I can’t think of anyone else more deserving of this recognition. Her passion and positive attitude are the foundation of so many successes.”
For Courtney, the recognition is especially meaningful because her father was the very first recipient of the award in 2007.
“I started working side by side with my dad for five years, and he, along with Ken Vetter, taught me integrity, strategic thinking, and how to be dedicated to customers,” said Courtney. “This award means a lot, especially since it’s dedicated to Ken for all the amazing things that he did.”
Having even a brief conversation with Courtney about her customers or her colleagues will show you why she earned this award. She leads with curiosity and compassion, seeing deeply human qualities not as a bad thing, but as an opportunity to create connection.
“Creating relationships with customers is truly an art,” said Kyle Salem, PhD, CEO and President. “And it’s something Courtney does with ease. When I think of what it means to be a trusted advisor - going above and beyond to deliver strategic value, I think of Courtney. The impact she has on both our employees and our customers is admirable and should be seen as a standard of excellence.”
When asked how she approaches relationships and teamwork, she said she leads with understanding what drives and motivates others. She emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, particularly the strong bonds she’s built with service engineers, which have helped her be successful in her career.
“The service engineers are absolutely the reason we’re successful in Cassling and definitely in Eastern Iowa,” said Courtney. “They hear and see things I can’t. They elevate me and I want to elevate them.”
When asked how sales teams can improve their relationships, Courtney offers the following advice:
“Offer someone a seat at the table, get them involved and you’ll eventually grow that relationship and they will see the value in you. To be a trusted resource, you have to understand how each facility operates and communicate in a way that works for them.”
Courtney’s passion for healthcare and humans is evident in her approach to relationships and reflects the values of the Cassling way: humility, initiative and integrity.
“We may not directly impact patients,” said Courtney. “But we impact the people who do. And that relationship is more meaningful than I think some people realize. I feel very blessed and honored to do what I do.”
A Legacy of Impact
Tammy and Courtney exemplify the values that make Cassling a place where service, integrity and collaboration matter. Their achievements not only honor the individuals who came before them but also inspire colleagues across the organization. Through their strategic insights and desire to build connections, they have made a lasting impact on customers, teammates and the broader healthcare community.
