Omaha, Neb. (Dec. 9, 2011) – Cassling’s marketing team received two Paper Anvil Awards and a chapter service award at the 2011 Public Relations Society of America Nebraska Gala on Dec. 8 at the Embassy Suites in La Vista, Neb. The Paper Anvil Awards recognize exceptional work in the field of public relations. Cassling was the recipient of the 2011 Community Service Award and earned two Awards of Excellence.2011 Community Service Award
Cassling also received the 2011 Community Service Award, which recognizes an organization or business that has made significant contributions to the common good of the community through participation in important activities, elevating the professional practice of public relations. The company's Cassling Cares program focuses on improving the community by providing opportunities for employees to be involved in community outreach programs.
Cassling employees are supportive and visible in the community, participating in programs such as Habitat forHumanity builds, Operation USO care packages, Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree and bell ringing, Siena Francis House blanket drive and American Red Cross blood drives. During the June Volunteer Jam, 70 employees, spouses and children volunteered their time and made donations to various organizations. Employees prepared and served meals at the Ronald McDonald House and helped out at the Easton Memorial Poker Run to benefit Children's Hospital & Medical Center's Hand in Hand palliative care program.
Award of Excellence – State of the Union (event category)
Cassling’s annual State of the Union presentation is a series held for employees and spouses throughout its four-state territory (Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota) over a three-week period. The 2011 theme, “I Strengthen Community Health Care,” celebrated and reflected Cassling’s mission and vision. Ninety-eight percent of attendees said they had a better understanding of Cassling following the presentations.
Award of Excellence – Spy the MRI Campaign (marketing business to business/products category)
Cassling developed a campaign to help raise awareness of the benefits of an in-house MRI system. The campaign theme was “Spy the MRI.” Through a multi-channel approach, Cassling encouraged recipients to “spy” a code on a map of a typical community. Highlighted on the map were the benefits of a permanent MRI.
