Yellowstone National Park has something for everyone. From Geysers, to thermal pools, to waterfalls, to The Grand Canyon, it crosses the spectrum of natural wonders.

It was an absolute joy to photograph Yellowstone. Sunsets seem to last longer than usual (potentially due to the elevation). At times, the technical aspect of shooting was rather difficult because I could only shoot from boardwalks, which is a limiter. Also, the hot steam from the geysers can fog up a camera lens very quickly! One of the biggest highlights was finding a secret, hot spring swimming hole and enjoying the hot/cold water from different streams. It is also very common to be stopped in the middle of the road for large groups of Bison to cross. This was something I did not get used to. They are absolutely massive!

Shot over the 2011 New Year weekend when a winter storm arrived in Yosemite. Overcast skies the first day, followed by heavy snow on the second day, partly cloudy the third day and sunny the fourth day. You'll see a mixture of shots from the different weather conditions. Enjoy!

The Badlands are a remarkably stunning and unique landscape. Bizarre and beautiful formations jut out of the fractured prairie in various shades of pink, red and yellow. Bison and bighorn sheep are a few of the parks multiple inhabitants.

Many thousands of years ago, the Virgin River was making its way to the south, winding in the soft formations of a young Colorado Plateau. Over time, the plateau began to rise, driven by the powerful forces of Earth, and little river had to fight its way through it, “biting” into the rock and washing away particles of gravel and sand “on the way”. Thus, thanks to the perseverance and persistence of the Virgin River an amazingly beautiful canyon appeared on Earth – Zion Canyon, which has become the main attraction of the national park with the same name.

Yosemite National Park, the High Sierra, and the Eastern Sierra are some of the most beautiful places on earth. Ever since I serendipitously won a trip to Yosemite when I was 18, the beautiful Range of Light has captured my heart and become my home. Nothing brings me more joy than to share this life changing beauty with others.

Ever since I became fascinated with timelapse photography almost 2 years ago, after seeing the work of Tom Lowe, I’ve wanted to do a piece on Yosemite and the Sierra. Autumn is one of the most beautiful times to visit Denali National Park. Shades of red, yellow, and green cover the mountain sides while bears, moose, and Dall’s sheep can be seen wandering across the landscape. And as the season starts to transition into winter, passing storms leave the highest mountain peaks with a light dusting of snow, while the northern lights can be seen dancing across the sky on clear nights. After spending just three days around Denali last September, I put this short film together showcasing the park’s impressive landscapes and weather patterns during this time of year.
