The application for the first 2024 Cassling Imaging Scholarship is now open and will be accepting submissions through December 11, 2023. The scholarship will award one student the opportunity to earn a 3D Printing and Visualization Certification at Clarkson College utilizing its 3D Center of Excellence, all while providing a firsthand look at how the imaging field has evolved thanks to 3D printing.

Omaha, Neb. – October 30, 2023 – Cassling is investing in the future of healthcare professionals, innovation, and technology by funding a new scholarship for students embarking on an exciting new career in a growing sector of the imaging market.

The Cassling Imaging scholarship, in the amount of $8,000, supports the growth and development of medical imaging professionals in Medical 3D Printing and Visualization. The scholarship will be awarded to one Clarkson College student in the spring semester beginning in January 2024 pursuing a Medical 3D Printing and Visualization Specialist certification at Clarkson College.

“We’re firm believers in providing up-and-coming radiology professionals with the tools and the knowledge they need to help patients for decades to come,” said Brian Bradfield, chief operating officer at Cassling. “Clarkson College is leading that charge with their groundbreaking work in 3D printing and its application to radiologic imaging. Their ability to take CT or MR scan data and translate it into a 3D structure is truly something to behold, and we’re thrilled to play a part in helping students become experts in this groundbreaking technology.”

The industry-leading 3D Center of Excellence at Clarkson College has become known for advancing the medical field through innovation and technology. The scholarship recipient will learn about delivering FDA-cleared, diagnostic-quality anatomic models printed with a variety of materials and colors, all built on MR and CT-based patient imaging data, processed and designed as a 3D-printed model specific to each patient. The curriculum acquaints students with the foundational principles of creating 3D medical prints and prepares students to apply the 3D printing process towards improving patient care and outcomes.

Interested students can apply on the Clarkson College website here. The application period is currently open through December 11, 2023. The scholarship committee will review applicants and announce the recipient on December 18, 2023.

Once awarded, the scholarship funds will be dispersed to cover tuition, books, and/or fees for credit hours at Clarkson College. Funds are allocated for and will be dispersed during the Spring and Summer semesters of 2024. The scholarship recipient must demonstrate strong academic achievement and maintain good academic standing throughout their course of study.
