The ASRT Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, has announced the recipients of this year’s Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship, which provides $4,000 to rural healthcare professionals pursuing higher education in the field of medical imaging and radiation therapy.
Omaha, Neb. – September 3, 2024 – The Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship has once again been awarded to two highly deserving medical imaging professionals bettering their careers and their communities through higher education.
The ASRT Foundation has announced the winners, whose experience and passion for patient care enabled them to stand out. The two $4,000 scholarships will help these talented individuals pursue their education and ultimately make a difference to all the patients whose lives they impact.
Supporting the professional developments of current and aspiring imaging providers is a crucial part of how Cassling strengthens community healthcare.
One scholarship winner, Kendall, is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in radiologic and imaging science, with a concentration in Radiologic Management.
“I have decided to go back to college to prepare for the administrative side of radiology and to learn exceptional leadership skills, competent communication, and project management,” said Kendall. “The Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship will help me achieve my career dreams while not causing financial stress and burden on my family. “
Another scholarship winner, Haden, is pursuing her interest in healthcare management, and highlighted how she’s looking forward to making a difference.
“Your belief in my potential motivates me to continue striving for excellence in all my endeavors,” said Haden. “I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and am determined to excel academically. In the future, I hope to give back to the community and support aspiring students, just as you have supported me.”
Cassling is honored to support the educational goals of students and current imaging professionals in a myriad of ways. In addition to this scholarship, we’ve also backed a 3D imaging scholarship at Clarkson College, a healthcare-focused education institution in our hometown of Omaha.
We offer free continuing education credits for current imaging professionals through our Investing In You program. The Cassling Leadership Institute continues to inspire current and future managers and executives, and we recently hosted imaging teams from across the country at our annual Investing In You Educational Seminar, the largest such event we’ve ever had.
The application period for next year’s ASRT Foundation scholarships, including the Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship, will open later this year. Subscribe to Cassling’s Knowledge Center to be notified when the scholarship period is open.
