Overview:

During this interactive workshop, participants will learn how leaders use different motivational tactics for obtaining the results they want from their employees. Performance management, feedback and monetary awards will be discussed. We’ll review what works best to motivate employees to perform, as well as why these methods bring out the hustle in teams.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the major models of motivation
  • Discuss how models of motivation and performance management relate to real-life, on-the-job experience
  • Apply the principles of motivation to peak employee performance

Assistant Professor, Vascular Sonography Clinical Coordinator; Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, College of Health Professions, Thomas Jefferson University

Maria is a two-time alumnus of Thomas Jefferson University and a seasoned sonographer with clinical and research experience. Her interests include 

advanced technologies in sonography, such as photoacoustic imaging, elastography, 3D applications, and ultrasound contrast agents. Maria is a member of the International Contrast Ultrasound Society, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society for Vascular Ultrasound, and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Her professional goals are to raise awareness of the benefits of utilizing ultrasound contrast agents in general sonography and urging fellow educators to incorporate CEUS curriculum into their programs. Currently, Maria serves as an Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.
