Each year, the Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship honors our founder’s legacy by supporting two students dedicated to strengthening healthcare and bringing their skills to the fields of medical imaging and radiation therapy.
In the U.S., projected career growth for radiologic technologists between 2024 and 2034 is 5%, suggesting 15,400 job openings each year. By investing in the next generation of radiology professionals, each $4,000 scholarship is part of how Cassling strengthens community healthcare. We see these scholarships as more than just financial support, but a message to students that their dreams, efforts and passion are making a difference.
Administered by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation, this year’s scholarships were awarded to two individuals who are already making significant strides in their careers and communities.
For Sarah, a full-time educator and certified radiologic technologist pursuing her Doctor of Education, the scholarship is alleviating and inspiring.
“Your generosity helps ease the financial burden of continuing my education, allowing me to focus more on my family, my students and my goal of becoming a more effective educator and advocate within the radiologic sciences," shared Sarah.
Patricia, who is pursuing her radiology degree, said the award is making a meaningful difference in her life. 
“Knowing that I have this support relieves a great deal of stress and enables me to dedicate more
time and energy to my studies, rather than worrying about how to cover the costs of my
education," she shared.

We congratulate Sarah, Patricia and the other deserving recipients of medical imaging and radiation scholarships awarded through the ASRT Foundation, which totaled $412,500 for the 2026-2027 academic year. We’re honored to be a part of their journey.

The Bob Cassling Memorial Scholarship continues Cassling’s commitment to healthcare education. In addition to the scholarship, Cassling’s Investing In You education series provides free Continuing Education credits (CEs) to the imaging community through a series of in-person seminars and live webinars, while the Cassling Leadership Institute is dedicated to providing CEs to healthcare leaders.
