This course is designed to provide the learner with a description of multi-modality patient care. From imaging and diagnosis with CT, MRI, PET, or Nuclear Medicine to treatment with Radiation Therapy, participants will follow a course often taken by patients. How do the modalities complement each other in the overall patient care scheme? Which modalities are used independently and what new innovations call for the use of integrated solutions?
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
Understand the basic concepts of imaging and therapeutic modalities
Identify multi-modality methods used in patient diagnosis and treatment
Describe innovations in mixed-modality equipment and protocols
