Mindfulness is defined as the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the moment, and non-judgmentally to the unfolding of experiences. Mindful interventions improve mental, emotional and physical well-being as well as cognition and academic performance. This presentation will explore the use of mindfulness for medical imaging professionals. Participants will explore the benefits of adding mindful interventions to their daily routine, review examples of mindful interventions which can be incorporated into the healthcare setting, and complete the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale to determine their own mindfulness score.
